Cancellations & No-Shows
Reminder texts and emails are sent 24 hours prior to your appointment time. No show appointments and late cancellations made within 12 hours of the appointment time will be charged a fee totaling that of the cancelled appointment. Client will not be able to rebook until the missed appointment fee has been paid.
Accessibility
Body inclusivity is a key component of the infrastructure at The Waxing Moon Parlor. Heyday Salon and access to The Waxing Moon Parlor within the salon are wheelchair accessible spaces, as is the salon’s restroom. To accommodate a range of mobility the waxing bed lowers to 18” off of the floor with an electric lift up to 30” in height and has a backrest adjustable from 0 to 70 degrees. It has a working weight of up to 500lbs and is 28” wide. Adjustments to services for audio or visual impairments are possible if needed. If you have other accessibility concerns, please reach out before your appointment and necessary adjustments will be made when possible.
Refund Policy
No returns or refunds for products or services. If you have purchased a damaged product please reach out and an exchange may be made.
Disclaimer/TLDR of the Liability Waiver
Any information you receive from me before, during or after your appointment is given to the best of my knowledge as a licensed esthetician in the state of Oregon. I am not liable for any undisclosed skin issues, sensitivities, dermatologist prescribed products, along with other variables that may affect the results of your service.
Liability Waiver
As The Client:
You agree to receive the service(s) you have booked at The Waxing Moon Parlor.
You agree to the cancellation policies and fees associated with the appointment(s) you book.
You are aware of the common side effects which may occur from receiving hair removal services which include but not limited to heightened skin sensitivity, skin lifting, hives, inflammation, reddening, small breakouts etc.
You acknowledge antibiotics along with other prescribed drugs (oral or topical) and undisclosed allergies to products used during your service may increase the likelihood of such side effects and will disclose any usage with your provider before services begin. This includes but is not limited to retinols, accutane, glycolic treatments, prescribed topicals, antibiotics, acne medications etc. You acknowledge that the lack of doing so may result in more or severer side effects.
You agree to disclose to your provider if you are receiving any medical treatments or are experiencing flare ups in any of the areas to be waxed including but not limited to oral/genital herpes, genital warts, rashes etc. and understand your waxing service may not be advised/continued.
You acknowledge that you will follow post care protocol, that every body may react differently and you will be provided with the post care knowledge your esthetician feels may benefit you best.
You acknowledge not following the recommended post care protocol may increase the chance of folliculitis, itching, irritation, slower healing, bacterial infections and other complications.
As Your Provider:
In receiving services here you acknowledge that at The Waxing Moon Parlor I, your provider, will answer any questions or concerns you may have to the best of my knowledge.
I will verbally provide a specialized treatment and post care plan if necessary.
I will provide you with a private, sanitized treatment space with a hydraulic bed that holds a weight capacity of 500lbs & has ADA compliment height options.
I will make the best judgement call on moving forward with your service if any of the above care advice has been disregarded on your behalf.
